The tutorial bot is already screaming about my shield generator placement when I realize I've been staring at the mech bay for five minutes. Not strategizing. Just... looking. The way those giant metal bastards power up, joints flexing, that low hydraulic hiss. Don't even pretend you're here for the "smart positioning of defenders." We both know why you clicked on a game with Giant Mechs in the description.

Built my first corporation with some random who kept spamming rocket troopers into a kill zone. Classic mistake. But watching his battle cruisers lumber in behind my mechs, that slow dance of laser fire and exploding armor plating, something clicked. The game calls it "intense clan wars" but it's more like a messy, noisy, surprisingly horny bar fight where everyone brought their biggest toys. Twenty plus buildings to upgrade and I still can't figure out why the space marines make that grunting sound when you deploy them. Unnecessary. I love it.

Graphics are "stunning" they say. Sure. The particle effects when a mech goes critical scatter across the screen like someone threw a glitter bomb into a jet engine. But it's the little things. The way units cluster behind cover. The way a well placed plasma shot makes everything go quiet for half a second before the explosion. That's the real porn here. Not whatever you were expecting. Though I've seen the way some of you name your corporations. You're not subtle.

Leagues reset every season and I'm stuck in silver because I keep getting distracted by my own base layout. Should've put the cannon turret two tiles left. Now some guy named xX_StarLord_69_Xx is walking his mechs right through my backline while I'm admiring the lighting on his drop ships. The music's actually decent too, which is annoying because now I can't blame the soundtrack for my losses. Just my own terrible, terrible priorities.
