Fucking a slime girl in a damp corridor while your health bar blinks red isn't romance but it sure is something. Monster Quest throws you into these dungeons with zero handholding. You're just some guy with a sword and apparently the libido of a minor deity. The first boss wiped me three times before I realized blocking was a thing. Not that the tutorial mentions it. Then I stumbled into a room with this wolf creature and suddenly we're not fighting anymore. The transition from combat to sex is so abrupt it's almost comical. One second you're slashing, the next you're balls deep with no explanation. I laughed out loud the first time.

The item system is weirdly detailed for a game where you can bang a goblin. You collect herbs and weird crystals and I spent twenty minutes trying to combine things in my inventory before realizing most of it is just vendor trash. There's this one potion that turns your character blue. No buff, no debuff, just blue. I kept it for hours thinking it would matter later. It didn't. The dialogue reads like it was translated through three different languages and then typed up by someone who was distracted. One NPC told me to "seek the moist cave of destiny" and I still don't know if that was intentional or not.

The sex scenes are where things get properly unhinged. Hard doesn't begin to cover it. We're talking monster girls with anatomy that defies biology and positions that would send a chiropractor into early retirement. The beast creatures especially. There's this centaur-like thing in the third dungeon that I won't describe here but let's just say the physics engine gave up trying. The art is rough, deliberately so, like someone sketched their fantasies on a napkin and then animated them anyway. It works though. Somehow the jank makes it hotter. Or maybe I've just been playing too many of these. The adventure part is actually decent when you're not distracted by all the fucking. Dungeons have secrets and the monster designs are creative even outside the bedroom.
