Veronica’s face when she lands in the US is something else. That wide eyed hope from the old country, Ukraine they say, right before it all goes to shit. The game is a prequel, a “Beginning” like those movie things, and it’s rougher than a bad hookup. The art is deliberately unpolished, like a sketch that got colored in a hurry, and sometimes a hand looks like a claw. But that jank kind of works for the story it’s telling. She needs money, she’s desperate, and the choices you make push her down some dark, sticky paths.

The interactive bits are simple, just picking dialogue that feels like a trap. You see the break points coming a mile away. Do you trust the creepy landlord? Do you take the “modeling” gig? The sex scenes are blunt and cartoonish, lots of exaggerated blowjob angles and BDSM setups that feel more transactional than hot. There’s this one moment in a dungeon, a callback to the other games I guess, where the whole thing just feels sad and mechanical. You’re clicking through a sex act like you’re filling out a form. And yet, I kept going back to find all six endings. Not because it was a masterpiece, but because I wanted to see if she could ever catch a break. She can’t, mostly.

The whole thing reminds me of those old Newgrounds days, clicking through flash games on a dial-up connection, hoping for a pixelated thrill. This has that same energy, a messy, horny, slightly depressing vibe. The sound design is basically nonexistent, just some looping royalty free beat that drills into your skull. I muted it after two minutes. Getting the most out of this means treating it like a disaster you can’t look away from. Don’t play it for a perfect fap, play it to see how many ways a naive dream can get absolutely wrecked. The “bad” endings are the real story here, the ones where the screen fades on her hollow eyes. That’s what sticks with you, not the janky tits.
