That weird moment when the receptionist from the credit card fraud case turns out to be the one stripping on your screen. Not a metaphor. The game just... does that.
Three words: blurry blonde bait. Unpacking that. The whole thing runs on this grainy video loop aesthetic, like someone filmed it on a phone from 2016 and forgot to stabilize it. She's blonde, she's doing a striptease, and you're supposedly some kind of investigator tracking her down. The quest part is basically clicking through dialogue trees that feel like they were translated through three different languages before landing in English. "We need to arrest someone as soon as possible" yeah no shit, but first let's watch her take off her top while the camera autofocus hunts for something that isn't there.
The redhead shows up later. Different scene, same weirdly compressed video quality. I think she's supposed to be a witness or accomplice or something, the plot is honestly a mess. You're clicking options like "interrogate" but what actually happens is another striptease loop starts playing. The real model tag is doing heavy lifting here because you can tell these are actual people filmed in what looks like a hotel room with bad lighting. Something about that makes it more uncomfortable than the usual rendered stuff. Not in a hot way. In a "this feels like evidence footage" way.
Wish the dialogue wasn't so broken. There's a point where you're supposed to be confronting her about the fraud and she just says "you like what you see detective?" and then the video loops again. No resolution to the actual crime plot. The dream job framing is barely there, just enough to pretend there's a reason you're watching. Gameplay is clicking, waiting for the next video to load, clicking more. The quest structure falls apart halfway through when it clearly runs out of ideas and just repeats scenes. At least the loading times are short.
