The first thing that hits you isn't the bike, it's the smell. Gasoline and leather and something else, something metallic. Sonia's jacket creaks when she moves and the game makes sure you hear every single creak. It's obsessive about the wrong details. There's a whole five second animation of her just running her fingers along the handlebars before a race and I watched it every time. Don't ask me why.
The fighting is janky as hell. Like someone coded it with their feet. But then Sonia will pin some blonde against a wall and the uniform comes off and suddenly I don't care about the hit detection anymore. There's this one scene in a garage, oil stains everywhere, and the way the other girl's biker vest gets caught on Sonia's badge. Chef's kiss. The game knows what it's doing even when it pretends it doesn't. The cop uniform stays on way longer than it should during certain scenes and that's definitely intentional. Whoever made this has a thing for authority figures getting compromised.
Springdale is basically three streets and a bar but somehow I got lost twice. The racing segments feel like they were added at 4am the night before release. You just hold right and occasionally dodge a car that spawns out of nowhere. But between races you get these weirdly intimate moments where Sonia talks about why she rides, what freedom means to her, and then two minutes later she's got her face buried between some woman's thighs on a pool table. The tonal whiplash is real. I never figured out if there's a deeper plot about the fighting ring or if that was just an excuse for more sweaty women in tight pants. The blonde rival character shows up three times and I still don't know her name.
