Paul McClain isn’t your usual kind of detective. He dresses too sharply for small-town work, talks too smooth for his own good, and has this look that says *he’s seen some shit but still wants to see more*. The job seems simple at first - find the lost daughter of some rich asshole from England - but nothing about this place stays clean for long. Springfield’s full of girls who might fit the age and the attitude, all of them wrapped up in their own secrets. One moment you’re interrogating someone over coffee, next moment she’s half undressed and using her tongue to teach you what kind of “clues” she’s got. Yeah, this investigation gets real physical real quick.
What’s funny is, the game sometimes pretends to be about justice and logic and detective work, but then throws those out the window the second a tight blouse leans too close. I tried to keep things professional, but you get pulled into the heat of it - all that teasing, the slow unbuttoning, the kind of moans that make you forget what question you even asked. It’s not just fucking for the sake of it though; the interactions actually tell you about the girl - whether she’s shy, manipulative, or just bored enough to fuck a detective for fun. There’s a weird honesty in how raw it gets. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes damn awkward, but it never feels fake.
The town itself feels alive in a dirty, ridiculous way. You’ll knock on fancy doors expecting answers, end up tied to a chair with some woman threatening to “torture” you for information - though her definition of torture gets awfully wet halfway through. Not everything lands perfectly. Some dialogue sounds like it was written during a hangover, and one clue chase dragged longer than my patience. Still, you can’t stop. There’s always another suspect with that maybe-it’s-her look and another secret under her clothes. When you finally find the one with the mark on her ass... well, by then, truth feels like the least interesting thing you’ve discovered.
