The whole thing runs in a browser tab, which is perfect because I can alt-tab to my actual work when my boss walks by. You're chatting with this Miami girl online, trying to line up a meetup in two weeks. The inventory system is just... there. You collect random shit like a half-eaten empanada and a metro card that does nothing. I spent twenty minutes trying to combine the sunscreen with the hotel key because I thought maybe there was a puzzle. There isn't. It's just junk that sits in your bag like real life.
The pickup dialogue options are wild. One minute she's sending you a pic of her cat, next minute you're picking between "send dick pic" and "ask about her abuela's cooking." I picked the abuela option and somehow that unlocked a hentai scene where she's wearing nothing but a Miami Heat jersey. I don't know how we got there. The logic is broken but in a way that makes me laugh. The cute art style clashes so hard with the explicit content. Like she's got these big sparkly anime eyes while riding you reverse cowgirl on a beach towel. It's absurd. I love it.
The dating sim part is actually kind of stressful though. You have to manage your responses over two in-game weeks and if you fuck up once she ghosts you. No warning. Just gone. I had to restart three times because I kept picking the funny option instead of the "correct" one. Why is being funny punished? That's some real Miami shit honestly. The game doesn't care about your personality, it wants you to follow a script. Fine. Whatever. I'll play by your rules, pixel girl. But I'm keeping the empanada.
