I don't know who decided poker and pool needed to fuck and make a baby but here we are. The balls have numbers and suits, you're trying to make hands like in cards, except you're smacking spheres around a felt table. My brain kept short circuiting because I'd line up what I thought was a flush and then realize no wait, that's just three striped balls and two solids and that's not how any of this works.

The blonde in the corner is watching. She's got this look like she's already bored and you haven't even missed a shot yet. Every time you win a round against the AI opponent, a new video unlocks. Strip tease stuff. She starts with the jacket, then the top, and you know how this goes. The videos are actual footage, not some janky animation, which caught me off guard. I was expecting cartoon tits and got real ones. The camera work is what you'd expect from something shot in a basement with a ring light from Amazon, but honestly that adds to the charm. Or doesn't. I can't decide.

The pool physics are wrong. Not broken exactly, but wrong in a way that makes you question if you've ever actually played pool before. The cue ball slides like it's on ice sometimes and other times it stops dead like it hit sand. I spent way too long trying to figure out if the poker hand rankings were standard or if they made up their own rules. They're mostly standard. Mostly. The AI opponent folds at weird times and then suddenly becomes a shark when you're one ball away from a straight. I wish the strip videos were longer but they won't be. That's the whole game really, this weird hybrid that shouldn't work but you keep playing because you want to see what happens when you finally beat that smug AI with a full house made of the 8 ball and some solids.
