Every time I think sp3ktr3 is just gonna coast on "here's more fuckable monsters" they drop episode 34 and suddenly there's lore. Actual lore. Not just the usual "go fight, get sex scene" loop. The whole memory recovery thing kinda comes out of nowhere. Your guy touches some weird crystal and bam, fragmented flashbacks that hint at his own past, or maybe Bridget's, hard to tell because I got distracted by the Hydragodon rival showing up. And her guardians. All eight of them.

The rival herself is this regal, serpentine thing with scales that shimmer between blue and silver. Her intro animation has her coiling around the screen before she even speaks. You know that feeling when a sprite is so self assured you just know the battle's gonna be a pain? Yeah. Her guardians though. One's basically a living lightning rod with tits, and there's this earth type that has no business being that flexible. The new elemental property they're teasing feels half baked right now, some kind of void or anti element that makes the screen glitch during battle transitions. Looks cool but I have no idea what it actually does mechanically. Enemies weak to it? No clue. But the animations when you use it. The Pussymon sort of unravels and reforms. Pixel work is deliberately messy, like old RPG glitch porn on Newgrounds.

Over 800 lines of text sounds impressive until you realize half of it is the rival monologuing about the Pussymon Project's true purpose. Which we still don't fully learn. There's this one scene where Hydragodon's rival pins your character down and the dialog tree splits based on whether you resist or submit. Submitting gives you a much longer, rougher scene with her tail involved in ways I won't spoil. The Bridget sidequest additions feel a little tacked on, like someone remembered she exists. Two new scenes, both in the same cave area from episode 27. Her pixel tits bounce exactly the same way as the bat Pussymon from episode 12. Reused frames? Probably. Do I care? The tongue animation is new at least.

The cheat manager from the special edition lets you unlock all the boss guardians immediately, which trivializes the 14 new quests but honestly who's playing for balanced gameplay. I just wanted to see the Hydragodon rival's defeat animation where she reverts to a smaller form and the "capture" sequence has her genuinely looking betrayed. Actual emotion in my pixel porn. Weird. The memory mechanic better get expanded next episode because right now it's three flashbacks and a cryptic line about "the facility." You can't just drop that and then cut to a sex scene with a wolf made of shadows. Well, you can, and they did. That wolf's knotting animation. Worth the patreon sub alone.
