First time I booted this thing up, my laptop fan went absolutely nuts, like it knew what kind of filth I was about to witness. I laughed so hard I almost spilled my instant ramen, which would’ve been tragic because I was starving and broke back then. Anyway, this Ren’Py thing - honestly, I didn’t expect much. I thought it’d crash after the opening screen, but then Mitsuri showed up with that ridiculous pink-green hair and that voice that’s half sugar, half “I could ruin your life.” I swear I forgot this was fan-made for a sec. There’s this weird comfort in seeing familiar faces from Demon Slayer in a totally different vibe - like seeing your high school crush at a bar years later, drunk and suddenly way too friendly.
The writing’s uneven, but that’s kinda the charm. One moment you’re reading this sweet, shy dialogue with Aoi, and the next, she’s saying something that makes you check if your door is locked. I remember playing on my old ThinkPad, lights off, window open, the neighbor’s dog barking while Shinobu’s scene started - real mood killer, but I didn’t stop. The transitions are clunky sometimes; like, the story jumps without warning, but then, who cares when Nezuko’s sitting there giving you that look. The guy who coded the affection system probably gave up halfway through, but somehow it works better that way. It’s messy, human.
What I didn’t expect was how nostalgic it made me feel. Not just for the anime, but for those early days when I’d sit up late clicking through janky visual novels on Itch.io, hoping my antivirus wouldn’t freak out. It’s pervy, sure, but also weirdly sincere - like it’s not pretending to be anything more than horny fan service stitched together by someone who actually liked these characters once. I got annoyed at the save menu though, it freezes if you click too fast. Never fixed that. I guess I could’ve looked for a patch, but nah. There’s something honest about a game that stays broken in the same spot every time you play.
