The blog has the full res version but who has the energy to go find that. Also the nymph events have a 50/50 chance to either show an image or just restore stats, which means half the time you get a text box and some numbers instead of tits. Annoying. But the academy events added like 20 new scenes and 12 images so I guess that balances out. The fight difficulty got nerfed too, patrols and bosses both, which is fine because I was never here for the combat anyway.

Elana's Kingdom runs on that exact logic and it's somehow both the dumbest and most honest RPG setup I've seen in months. The pixel art is deliberately rough, like someone took RPG Maker and said "nah, the jank is the point." Animations stutter. Menus look like they were designed during a power outage. And yet.

The core loop grabs you. Elana starts weak, can barely handle a slime let alone anything with actual intentions. You grind her levels by fighting monsters, but the real progression unlocks when her stats get high enough to start working through the village population. There's this one blacksmith who initially dismisses her completely. Come back at level 5 with upgraded magic and suddenly he's bent over his own anvil while she demonstrates exactly how much her power has grown. The dialogue during these scenes reads like someone fed a thousand hentai scripts into a blender and hit puree. "Your body betrays you" type stuff. Glorious nonsense.

Wish the quest structure had more variety though. It's mostly "go here, fuck this person, unlock the next person." After the third villager you start seeing the template and that initial spark dims a little. The fantasy kingdom setting feels undercooked too. Like there's supposed to be political intrigue or something about restoring Elana's throne but honestly I stopped reading the text boxes after the fifth "milord" typo.

The constant updates thing is real. Last patch added two new islanders and a scene involving a fishing net that I won't describe but definitely bookmarked. It's the kind of game where you alt-tab instinctively when someone walks in, not because of shame exactly, but because explaining "no see she gains levels through sexual conquest" sounds unhinged out loud. The wild people village section hits different when half the images are still placeholder boxes. Elana getting double penetrated while her church followers watch and chant. The animation is rough, frame rate drops if you have Chrome tabs open, but the sheer depravity of it.

One thing I wish they'd fix, the minigame before the final event. It's a timing thing with her riding a tentacle monster and if you miss the rhythm she just stops and you have to restart. Annoying as hell. But then the Archmage final event happens and you forget all that. She gets corrupted fully, body writing appears, and the last shot is her pregnant with demon spawn. Not subtle. Not trying to be.

The first thing that hits you isn't the tits out in the academy event, it's the sound bug. Then it's fixed, then it's not, the patch notes from 07/06/17 a goddamn graveyard of "adjusted difficulty" and "typos." You're clicking through this Flash fossil in Chrome, right clicking to "play" like it's a sacred ritual, and the whole thing feels held together by a Patreon link. Elana, the champion of something, I forget what, lust probably, she's got a whole pixel town to corrupt or save, who cares. The real achievement is getting the minigames to not crash.

Fumbling through the night cycle, 4 images on the beach, 1 in the square, the erotic audio from some website called listentopo crackles like a bad phone sex line from the 90s. It's perfect. I mean it's a mess. Ten new images in the church, and you know that priest is getting the business, but the text is revised with functions of pop ups, whatever the hell that means.
