Franks adventure 2
The sprite for the boss, when he leans back in his chair, the shoulders don't track right. A half second hitch where the pixels separate, a seam opening in the fabric of his cheap suit. I notice these things. It's my job, sort of. Between expense reports and pretending to care about Q3 projections, I'm looking at this game where Frank, a guy with a face like a smudged thumbprint, needs to fill a magazine with boobs. Not metaphorically. The quest log literally says "find big tits."
Wandered around a pixel city block for ten minutes clicking on a hot dog stand that did nothing. The collision map is a suggestion, a vague hope. You bump into women who are, and I'm being clinical here, constructed like geometry problems. The breast physics aren't physics. They're a declaration. A manifesto. When a character named, I think, Candy? agrees to a photo, the animation is a single frame swap. She goes from clothed to topless with the abruptness of a light switch. No transition. No human in between. Just the end result, floating there, two perfect circles that don't quite align with the torso's shading. It's jarring and I kept clicking.
The dialogue is translated through what feels like three languages and a mild head injury. A woman on a park bench says, "You have the look for picture. My chest is heavy for this." And then the minigame is just a timing bar. A green zone you tap. Success means a static JPEG added to an inventory grid. Failure means she walks away, clipping through a mailbox. There's no punishment for failure except having to find another set of enormous, unmoving breasts to photograph. The whole thing feels like a forgotten Newgrounds submission from 2003, and I mean that as a specific kind of praise. The kind where the jank is the texture. The magazine cover you're building never changes, by the way. That's a thing I wish was different. You collect ten photos, the counter goes up, the boss's sprite does that shoulder tear again. Nothing else.

Collect prizes and items in the mail with each battle won, as they will help you evolve your educated fighters. The longer you evolve your lovely warriors, the more their corporal appearance switches. And by "switches", we suggest "that they become supah uncovering, taunting you endlessly". And, if you can not escape from this headspace these hot hot visuals have pushed one into, the game does include a useful "auto" mode which can perform the top moves, so you can keep concentrating on your latest win - or, you knowthat anything is holding your focus.

Erotic Magazine
I can't remember the last time a porn game actually made me optimize a spreadsheet. But here we are, me hunched over my phone at 2 PM on a Tuesday, calculating whether I should blow my entire budget on a new lens or finally upgrade that shitty backdrop that's been pissing off my models. The backdrop won. I regretted it immediately.
This thing is basically a management sim where you're some photographer trying to save a dying magazine by starting your own studio. The writing is whatever, standard "we believe in you" corporate pep talk garbage, but the gameplay loop got its hooks in me. You schedule photoshoots, pick outfits, direct poses, and then the CG scenes unlock. And here's where it gets weird. The sex scenes are hot, genuinely hot, but I found myself skipping through them faster because I needed to check if my next issue would hit the sales targets. What is wrong with me.
The UI looks like it was designed by someone who just discovered Windows 98 and decided that was peak aesthetics. Buttons are slightly misaligned. The font choices are crimes. And yet. I spent an embarrassing amount of time in the equipment shop comparing stats like I was playing some AAA RPG. The camera upgrades actually matter, which I didn't expect. A better lens means sharper shots, which means higher magazine ratings, which means more money, which means you can finally afford that studio expansion and hire the model with the ridiculous proportions who's been rejecting your offers.
There's this one choice early on where you can either play it safe with a conservative spread or take a risk on something more explicit. I went safe and my sales tanked. The game basically called me a coward through its mechanics. Respect. The quest structure is basic fetch stuff, go here talk to this person, but the CGs are what you're here for and they deliver. Mostly. Some of the earlier scenes look rushed, anatomy doing things bodies shouldn't do, but the later ones get surprisingly polished. The magazine covers you create actually show up in the game, which is a nice touch even if my first attempt looked like a cursed Photoshop job from 2004.
I wish the dialogue choices mattered more outside of just determining which scene you unlock. But whatever, I'm three hours deep and my virtual bank account is healthier than my real one.
