The loading bar is a liar. It sits there, frozen, while you question your life choices and maybe scroll through Twitter for a bit. Then suddenly you're on a porch in Salem, and some childhood friend you haven't seen in forever is giving you that look. You know the one.

The art has this rough, almost sketchy quality that somehow makes the whole thing feel more intimate. Like finding someone's private drawings rather than a polished product. Some people will hate that. I kept noticing little details in the linework that probably weren't intentional but gave everything this dreamy, half-remembered summer vibe. There's this one scene with morning light coming through a window that I stared at way too long. The animations are sparse though, and you can feel where the money ran out. A couple of the sex scenarios just... stop. Right when things get interesting. The Patreon link makes a lot more sense after that.

Four sex scenes spread across eleven endings sounds generous until you realize how much replaying that means. I got the "bad" ending first, which honestly felt more satisfying than the one I grinded for later. Something about Salem in summer makes even the fucked up outcomes feel appropriate. The writing has this weird thing where it's trying to be spooky and horny at the same time, and sometimes it works beautifully and sometimes you're just clicking through dialogue about witch history while waiting for someone to take their clothes off. The choice system is basic but there's one decision involving a basement that genuinely surprised me with where it led. Not gonna spoil it but let's just say the childhood friend isn't as innocent as she pretends.

I wish the game remembered your previous choices better. There's a moment where a character references something that definitely didn't happen in my playthrough and it pulled me right out. But then the next scene had this really specific, almost uncomfortable close-up that made me forget all about continuity. The whole thing feels unfinished in a way that's both frustrating and kind of charming, like summer itself I guess.
