Ah, Demon Slay. Found this one buried in some lerds corner somewhere, a real fossil of a game that probably crawled out of 2019 and just sat there, collecting digital dust. The whole thing is scuffed to hell. Menus overlap, transitions feel like a PowerPoint slideshow with some missing frames, and the text sometimes clips right off the screen. It’s the lo-fi equivalent of finding a crumpled hentai doujin in a used bookstore, all bent spines and questionable printing.

But the music. Someone uploaded a chill, slightly off key piano loop that just hums along. It doesn’t care about the pixels freaking out on Shinobu’s butterfly hairpin. It doesn’t care that the ‘simulation’ part is basically choosing between three dialogue options where one leads to a generic dating sim compliment and the other makes you somehow fumble into a training flashback with Mitsuri and her frankly ridiculous sword stance that’s just an excuse for a chest angle. Actually, the jank is the charm. The first time you click through a conversation and the screen just hangs on Nezuko’s blank stare for a solid five seconds before a static erotic scene with Tamayo loads, you feel a connection. Not to the polished, million dollar mobile games on the app store, but to pure, unfiltered id.

The writing is... a time capsule, to be polite. It’s got the grammar of a poorly patched Android port but the spirit of someone who really, really wanted to see Kanao blush. I spent maybe twenty minutes just looping a scene on the train, a whole ‘dating sim’ within a train carriage that somehow ignored the entire demon slaying plot. It’s a love simulator that forgot the demons, which I kind of respect. The daki scenes are just cropped screenshots from an old flash file, I swear. My pizza rolls got cold and I didn’t even notice. This train has no breaks, and neither does Shinobu’s unchanging, slightly menacing smile as she tells you something about poison dosage that sounds ripped from a wiki summary. Pure atmosphere. I think I ‘completed’ Mitsuri’s route by accidentally reloading the page, and honestly, that feels like the intended ending.
