The shooting feels off. Not broken, exactly, but floaty, like the star you fire with X has a mind of its own. You're this little anime girl, right? Big eyes, impractical outfit, the usual. And you're jumping around these platforms with Z, dodging spike traps and these kinda goofy looking demons. The whole thing has this rough, MS Paint energy to the art that I honestly find charming. It's not trying to be slick. The background tiles don't quite match up in places.

My favorite part is when you get hit. Instead of just taking damage, a piece of her clothing vanishes. A sleeve, then a stocking. It's a striptease with consequences, tied directly to your bad dodging. You can be doing a perfect run, nailing every demon with your little star, and then one stupid misjudged jump over a fire pit and poof, there goes the skirt. The boss fights are where it gets really tense because you're trying to learn their attack patterns while also trying not to, you know, lose the whole outfit before the fight's over. The magic theme is just a thin coat of paint on the "shoot the thing" mechanic. Wish the S key to skip dialog worked faster, honestly, the text boxes are just her gasping about her missing clothes and it's like, I get it, I'm the one who messed up the jump.

The whole "sex for cash" tag is a bit misleading. It's not a management sim. You don't negotiate. You just fail. The game just sort of stops being a platformer and starts being a very short, looping animation of the monster having its way with her. And then you get sent back to the start of the stage. The contrast is what gets me. One second it's this chirpy chiptune and bouncing, the next it's a muffled, repeating moan and a pixelated mess of tentacles. The jump from cute to crude is so abrupt. No fanfare. It's like the game forgets it was supposed to be a game. I found a weird glitch on the second stage where if you die exactly as the boss dies, the defeat screen plays but you still progress. A naked ghost running through the next level. They'll never fix that.
