the wolf guy, eyvind, he’s got this look. you know the one. muscles like he’s been hauling kegs all day but also a softness around the muzzle that says he’d bottom without making a whole production of it. the game drops you into his tavern and it’s basically a furry fantasy grindr simulator with turn based combat tacked on. i respect the honesty of it. the art is 2dcg, deliberately rough, like someone sketched it on a napkin after a particularly vivid dream and then just. kept it. which works because the whole thing has this unpolished charm, except when it doesn’t and you’re staring at a background that’s just a brown smear.

Multiple endings apparently. I got the one where you lose everything to the warrior queen and become her throne decoration. Not even mad. The card game itself has these special Arcana cards that break the poker rules, and the witch can summon a spectral hand that messes with your bet. Wait, did I mention the witch cheats? I mentioned that. Anyway the humor lands about half the time, some dialogue feels like it was translated through three languages, but there's a moment where a goblin calls you a "river rat" after a bad beat and I laughed. The adventure map is just a menu with nodes, nothing fancy, but the tavern hub has this cozy vibe that makes you forget you're just clicking through a visual novel. The big tits physics are inconsistent. Sometimes they bounce, sometimes they're like statues. The warrior woman's breastplate defies all known metallurgy. I should go back and try to beat the witch. She probably has a scene where she stops cheating long enough to... actually I don't know if she does. The game doesn't tell you which characters have content. You just keep playing cards and hoping.

I keep coming back to the milking mini game. Not because it's particularly deep, you just click and drag in a rhythm that's supposed to mimic, well, you know. But there's this one cow girl, Moola or something, who makes this face when you get the timing right. Her eyes go half lidded and the text box fills with these absolutely unhinged localization choices. "Your hands speak the ancient language of the utter." Who wrote this? I need to buy them a drink.

The whole thing is a tavern management sim where you're some virgin schmuck who inherited a dump in a fantasy crossroads. Monster girls everywhere. You plant crops, brew weird beer, and at night you serve drinks while trying to fingerblast your way through a harem. The internal view shots during sex scenes are a nice touch, you can see the, uh, deposit happening. Classy stuff. The transformation system ties into who you're banging, so if you keep going for the slime girl your character starts getting these translucent patches on his skin. Nobody comments on it. Business as usual.

I wish the point and click adventure parts weren't so janky. Half the time you're pixel hunting for a tiny sparkle that's supposed to be a mushroom or whatever. And the management layer is thin, like a spreadsheet that's embarrassed to be seen. But then you unlock the lamia's oral scene and suddenly you don't care about inventory optimization anymore. She does this thing with her tongue that splits the screen into three panels. Three. The humor lands more often than it should, especially when the game just gives up on fantasy dialogue and has a cat girl call you a "sad little man with a sad little plan" before demanding a titfuck. Self awareness goes a long way when you're also trying to calculate barley yields.
