Exaltation! feels like reading the horny private chat logs you never had the guts to send. It starts so small and pathetic, with this insecure guy who basically lives in his own head, doomscrolling, second-guessing every word he types to this woman he met online. She’s sharp from the first lines, you feel it. Not “nice”, not “sweet”, more like a cat playing with a mouse that thinks it’s special. Their messages get kinkier, but not in that fake porn-dialogue way. It’s awkward, sometimes cringe, sometimes hot as hell exactly because he’s nervous and she clearly enjoys that. There’s this one moment where she takes forever to answer a risky message and you just sit there staring at the screen with him, feeling stupid for being turned on by someone who might not even bother to reply. That tiny delay hit harder than most “You feel your arousal rising” stuff from other games.

When they finally meet in real life the vibe flips fast. She’s not some soft domme who holds his hand and asks permission five times. She treats him like a toy she already owns, like the whole online thing was just her testing how far she can push. The scenes go from teasing to cruel so quickly, and the game doesn’t try to sugarcoat it with fake romance right away. She calls him out, mocks him, uses his insecurities right in his face while he’s half naked and trying to pretend he’s fine. Some of the BDSM stuff feels rough in a good way, some of it is just uncomfortable and that’s the point. It’s not “safe kink 101”, it’s more like accidentally walking into someone else’s messed up fantasy and realizing you kind of like it. There are little choices that look harmless, like agreeing to a word she wants to call you or deciding if you answer her honestly when she asks what you’re afraid of, and later you notice she remembers that and uses it during a scene. I liked that, even if half of the time I felt like I was just giving her more ammo to destroy this guy in the bedroom.

The game flirts with romance but doesn’t really hold your hand with “this is love” banners. One path feels more like a twisted worship vibe, where he starts enjoying being small under her boots and you almost root for them as a fucked up couple. Another angle is colder, more like he’s just a disposable slave she keeps around for her own thrill, and the “aftercare” is basically psychological mindfuck instead of cuddles. The sex is very explicit, no silly censorship, and the camera is not shy at all about making you stare at things longer than is comfortable. There’s one scene where she makes him wait, fully hard, while she just talks on her phone a few steps away, ignoring him like he’s furniture, and it annoyed me in real life because I hate when games make me sit there watching idle animation for too long, but at the same time my brain went “ok this is exactly how that kind of domination should feel”. The whole thing is short, a bit rough in places, not polished like those big-budget adult VNs, but it has teeth. It doesn’t always care if you like what happens. Sometimes it just wants you to kneel and watch.
