Right, so Arcane Revelations. Another one of those html text games with real model pics, you know the type. And it's about college and corruption and you get superpowers. Standard stuff. But here's the thing that actually got me, and I'm still annoyed about it. There's this one girl, I think her name is Sarah or something, and the whole scene is you using your mind control thing to make her flash the class. The writing is this broken, horny mess, like it was translated through three different languages and then back again, but somehow that makes it hotter? It's so direct. "She lift her shirt. You see boobs. They are nice." Fuck yes, they are nice. The pictures don't even match the text half the time, the model is a redhead in the pic but the text says blonde, and I spent way too long just staring at that contradiction. It's like the game is gaslighting my dick.

But then you try to actually, you know, play it. The choice system. What the fuck. You get three options and two of them lead to the exact same paragraph. I tested it. I reloaded like a maniac. "Use power to dominate" and "Use power to persuade" are the same goddamn button. And the corruption stat, what even is it? It goes up but nothing changes. I wish the powers actually evolved like the description hints at, but they won't. It's just a number that gets bigger while the game stays the same. Feels like a metaphor for my life, honestly.

Ever play that old game "The Company"? This is like that but if someone took all the actual game parts out and just left the sticky fantasy bits. The whole thing runs in your browser, no fuss, and the domination stuff is so blunt it wraps back around to being funny. "You are the master now. She is your slave. She will do laundry." Laundry? In a porn game? I can't stop thinking about that. It's the most unsexy detail and it's burned into my brain. The whole thing is a beautiful trainwreck of a text adventure that doesn't care if you're having fun, it's just vomiting a fantasy at you. And I respect that. I think.
