I don't know what I expected from a game called Behind The Porn but here we are, me clicking through scenes while my boss thinks I'm deep in spreadsheets. The whole premise is you're some camera guy on a porn set, which is already funny because who watches porn for the camera guy. But the game leans into it hard, like you're this fly on the wall seeing all the awkward shit between takes. The fluffer running around, the director yelling about angles, the talent checking their phones between positions. It's weirdly specific.

The scene that got me was this one where the actress is bent over a desk, from behind obviously, and the camera keeps auto focusing on her face instead of the action. You have to manually adjust it while she's moaning and the director is losing his mind in the background. The whole thing is so deliberately janky, like they made it ugly on purpose. The animations stutter sometimes and the voice acting sounds like someone recorded it in their bathroom. But that's the point I think. It's parodying the whole industry while also being genuinely hot when it wants to be. The hentai style means everyone's got those ridiculous proportions but the humor cuts through it. There's this one moment where a boom mic drops into frame during a cumshot and nobody acknowledges it. I laughed out loud in my cubicle which was a mistake.

The camera mechanic is basically a minigame where you zoom and pan to keep things in frame while the scene plays out. Sometimes you miss the money shot because you were adjusting exposure settings. That's the joke. The game knows you're here to jerk off but it keeps throwing these little obstacles at you. I wish there was more variety in the positions but honestly the from behind stuff is what it does best. The whole thing feels like a shitpost that accidentally became a functional porn game. My coworker definitely heard something through my headphones yesterday. Whatever.
