The arcade framing is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, because really you're just clicking through a slideshow of Lana Lane taking her clothes off. Which, fine, that's the point. But the "arcade" part seems to mean there's a score counter that goes up when you click at the right moment, and I spent way too long trying to figure out if the timing actually matters or if it's just there to make you feel like you're doing something. The strip sequences themselves are okay. Lana's a real model, blonde, skinny, the kind of girl you'd see in a late night cable ad. She knows how to work the camera, there's a moment where she's pulling down her panties and looking back over her shoulder that actually made me stop clicking for a second.
The interface is clunky in a way that feels almost intentional. Like the buttons are slightly too small and the progress bar doesn't line up with the actual strip stages. I kept losing my place and having to restart the sequence, which got annoying fast. But then again, maybe that's the arcade challenge? Fail and you start over? I don't know, the game never explains itself.
One thing I appreciated as someone who reviews queer indie stuff is that there's no fake narrative about "helping her relax" or "winning her affection." It's just a striptease. She's performing, you're watching, the score is meaningless. That honesty is rare in this genre, even if the execution is rough. The sound design is basically nonexistent, just a loop of something that might be club music if you squint. I wish there was a way to just watch the full strip without the clicking mechanic, because the interruptions break the rhythm of her performance. But then it wouldn't be an arcade game, would it. Just a video. And maybe that's what I actually wanted.
