You ever get that feeling where a game's art style makes you uncomfortable in a way you can't quite pin down? Between Rounds Prologue uses AI generated 2D art and sometimes the fingers are wrong, sometimes the eyes look dead, sometimes a character's expression shifts between frames like they're having a stroke. I spent way too long staring at one scene where the godmother's hand just... melted into the table. Couldn't stop looking at it. The devs call it "cinematic" but it's more like watching a soap opera through a fogged window.

Anyway Leon's this orphan kid raised by his godmother and her family, and now he's about to graduate and move out, except he's got this massive thing for someone he shouldn't. The game's a Ren'Py visual novel so you're clicking through dialogue and occasionally getting these animated scenes where the women's breasts jiggle. The groping mechanics are weirdly specific, you can touch during certain scenes and the characters react but it feels disconnected from the actual story beats. Like why is this milf letting me cop a feel while she's talking about Leon's dead parents? The tonal whiplash is something else.

The harem stuff piles up fast. There's the godmother obviously, plus some other women who show up, and the cheating angle comes in because some of them are married or attached. The corruption tag is doing heavy lifting here, Leon's this "nice guy" who slowly pushes boundaries and the game treats it like romance but it's more like watching someone wear down resistance through persistence. The oral sex scenes are animated decently enough I guess, if you can get past the AI art weirdness where mouths don't quite align. The slice of life moments between the drama are actually the best parts, just characters talking without the groping minigame interrupting. But then it swings back to big ass shots and handjob scenes and I'm like okay we're doing this again. The prologue ends on some cliffhanger about fights, like actual physical fights not just relationship drama, but I was too distracted by the uncanny valley tits to care about the plot setup.
