Not a joke, that's actually what's happening in this galaxy. You got robots, you got aliens, you got that one guy who's somehow both. And the game doesn't give a single damn about polish. The UI looks like it was coded during a lunch break and the dialogue sometimes reads like it went through a translator that gave up halfway. But then you're in a zero-G chamber with a cat-eared android and the pickup lines are so blunt they loop back around to being genius. "Your chassis is well optimized." I mean. Come on.
The dating sim loop is stripped to the bone. No grinding for affection points through gift spam, no convoluted skill trees. You explore, you find a character, you try to talk. Sometimes it works. Sometimes they tell you to recharge your personality core and leave. The scifi setting actually matters because the pickup mechanics change based on species type. Robots respond to logic puzzles. The furry aliens? They want you to prove you're not a threat. So you're doing this weird dominance/submission dance with a six-armed fox creature while the synthwave soundtrack loops for the 47th time. And when it clicks, the scenes unlock with this crunchy little animation style that's definitely hentai-inspired but also... janky? In a good way? Like finding a doujin from 2005 in a forgotten forum.
The September 2021 update added more sex scenes which, honestly, the game needed. Before that it was a lot of buildup and then a fade to black that made you question your life choices. Now at least you get payoff. The robot girl's scene has this glitch effect that's either intentional or my browser is dying. Never figured out which. The alien planet exploration is basically just clicking dots on a star map until something happens, and I wish there was more to do between encounters. But then you meet a malfunctioning pleasure droid who speaks in error codes and suddenly you're invested in debugging her, literally and figuratively. What even is this game.
