The soundtrack is doing something weird. It's like a cassette tape left in a hot car, all warbly and soft, which honestly works better than it should for a game where you're the only dude dropped into a goddess's pet project. The main melody has this cheap synth horn sound that reminds me of those lo-fi study beats channels, but sexier. I don't know. It's trying to be epic but lands somewhere between a massage parlor and a forgotten PS1 RPG. I respect that.
Character creation took me fifteen minutes because the slider for jawline kept resetting and I got unreasonably angry about it. Whatever. Once you're in, you're basically wandering this pastel fever dream talking to various mythical women who all seem vaguely surprised you exist. The dialogue trees are what you'd expect. Flirt, befriend, or just stand there like a confused tourist. I picked the shy forest spirit first because she had these ridiculous proportions that made me laugh. Her voice acting, if you can call it that, is just breathy sighs layered over the music. It's not subtle. Nothing here is subtle.
I spent way too long in the hot springs scene, not because it was hot, but because the water animation is just a static blue rectangle that flickers. It's so bad it circles back to being charming. The whole thing feels like a student project that got out of hand, in the best way. The writing occasionally tries to be profound about loneliness and creation, which is hilarious given the next dialogue option is usually something like "admire her divine assets." I forgot what my point was. The music keeps looping and I haven't closed the tab yet.
