Ok so the sound design in this thing. That's what got me first. The music is this weirdly perfect mix of generic visual novel piano plinks and something almost... tense? Like a horror game waiting to happen. Which, given the premise, is actually fitting. Yuki's got this soft, almost whispery voice in the dialogue, and every time a girl gets too close there's this little audio sting that made me physically lean back from my screen. The voice acting during the more explicit scenes though, that's where it gets interesting. The girls have these breathy, high-pitched moans that feel straight out of a JAV, but Yuki's own grunts are pitched just a touch lower, and the contrast is doing something to my brain I wasn't ready for.
The whole visual style is that clean 3D look, you know the one, where the skin is a little too glossy and the uniforms cling in ways that defy physics. The schoolgirl outfits are the standard sailor type but the artist clearly spent extra time on how the fabric pulls across the chest and hips. There's this one scene in the library where a girl leans over Yuki and the lighting from the window makes her skirt practically transparent. It's not subtle. It's not trying to be. And honestly? The unpolished bits, the slightly stiff animations during the sex scenes, the way a hand will clip through a breast for a split second, it adds this raw, almost amateur charm. Like finding a doujin that's rough but the passion is there.
I keep getting distracted by the UI though. The text box has this weird semi-transparency that sometimes makes the dialogue hard to read against the backgrounds, especially in the brighter classroom scenes. Why not just add a slider for that? It's such a small thing but it bugged me every single time. Anyway, the core loop is standard Ren'Py stuff, choices that branch the story, but the tension mechanic where you have to manage suspicion levels while trying to get close to the girls is actually engaging. There's a moment in the locker room where you have to pick a hiding spot and I genuinely held my breath. The game knows what it's doing with that crossdressing, secret identity kink, even if the dev insists it's just a "standard romance". Sure, buddy. Standard.
