Karolina keeps adjusting her glasses like that's gonna fix anything. The whole setup hits different when you've been that guy, you know? The one with the good grades and the complete invisibility cloak in the hallways. Then the scholarship thing happens and suddenly I'm supposed to believe the hottest girls in school need tutoring. Right. Because that's how high school works. But whatever, I'm here for the hentai CGs and the game knows it.

The teacher character though. Mrs. Whatever-her-name-is. Something about the way she suggests the tutoring gig made me pause. Like she's got her own agenda buried under all that professional concern. The voice lines aren't voiced obviously, it's a visual novel, but the writing for her has this undertone. You catch it in the dialogue choices where you can either be the clueless nerd or start picking up what she's actually putting down. The geek solidarity with Karolina feels real too. She's got that thing where she's clearly into you but communicates exclusively through homework help and awkward silences. I wish there was more of her earlier. The tutoring sessions with the popular girls escalate fast. Like, suspiciously fast. One minute you're explaining algebra, next thing the CG gallery is filling up with scenes that would get you expelled. Not complaining. The art style for those reward scenes is clean, detailed where it counts. Some of the transitions between the daily school life and the private lessons feel rushed though. The roleplay elements could use more buildup. You pick dialogue options that theoretically change how the girls see you but honestly it feels like you're just picking which flavor of fantasy plays out. The nerd fantasy is strong with this one. Karolina's route hits different because there's actual history there. The other girls are fun but she's the one where the writing remembers this is supposed to be a story about someone who actually knows you. The teacher's scenes are the wildcard. Didn't expect that direction but here we are. The game knows exactly what it's selling and doesn't pretend otherwise. Just wish the choices mattered more before the clothes come off.
