I keep thinking about Marge’s hair. Not in a weird way, well okay maybe a little, but the card matching thing really drills it into your brain because you see the same blue tower over and over, trying to remember if it was paired with her doing something coy or just another frame of Homer looking dopey. The whole thing is a Simpsons parody memory game, nine levels of flipping tiles to find matches, and the art is deliberately janky, like someone drew it on a napkin after a few too many. That’s the charm I guess. You’re not here for polish, you’re here because someone decided Marge needed a hentai gallery and built a concentration puzzle around it.
The loop is simple. Click tiles, fail to remember where the identical Marge with her top undone was three seconds ago, curse, click more. The game calls them stunning levels but that’s a stretch. They’re just grids that get bigger. What’s stunning is the sheer audacity of the bonus pictures you unlock. I spent way too long on level five just to see the full set, and the payoff is exactly the kind of low rent, anatomically questionable stuff you’d expect. There’s something about Homer’s expression in one of them that’s going to haunt me, not in a sexy way, more like a sleep paralysis demon. The gallery is the whole point, obviously. The memory part is just the toll you pay.
Honestly the card flip sound is annoying. A tiny click that grates after the hundredth time. I started muting it and just listening to my own breathing which made the whole thing feel even more pathetic. But I kept going. Not because it’s good, because it’s a parody that commits to the bit. You get Marge in situations that feel like a Newgrounds flashback, and that’s a vibe. Don’t expect it to be smooth. The whole thing runs in a browser and feels like it’s held together with tape. If you want a polished experience, walk away. If you want to see the Simpsons family in a way that would make Matt Groening choke, and you have the patience for a basic memory game that overstays its welcome, this exists. The bonus pictures are the only reason to bother, and they’re exactly as crude as you hope.
