The clown girl killed me three times before I figured out her tell. Not the first clown, the second one, the one in the attic with the balloon animals that aren't really balloon animals if you look too long. That's the thing about this mansion, it punishes you for paying attention and it punishes you for not paying attention. Classic horror game logic but wrapped in some surprisingly decent hentai.

Daniel's girlfriend gets snatched by Ghost Girl pretty much immediately. Like, the plot doesn't waste time on setup. You're in the mansion, she's gone, and now you're dodging monster girls who want to drain you in every sense of the word. The clown girl I mentioned? Her scene involves a lot of body paint and some genuinely unsettling laughter that loops while she's riding you. Who thought combining clown erotica with actual jump scares was a good idea? Someone did, and I respect the chaos even if I'm not sure it works. The ghost girl herself shows up mostly in reflections, which is a nice touch, little moments where you catch her in a mirror right before something else grabs you.

Monster designs vary. Some are hot in that way where you question your own taste. Others feel like they were drawn on a lunch break. The werewolf girl in the library has this one pose where her anatomy makes no sense, but the succubus in the basement hallway, the one with the chains, she's got a scene that honestly salvages the whole middle section of the game. I wish the dialogue was less robotic during those encounters though. Daniel grunts a lot. So much grunting. You'd think a guy trying to save his girlfriend would have more to say when a ghost is doing very specific things to him.

There's a mechanic where you collect tarot cards scattered through the mansion, and reading them gives you hints about which monster is in the next room. The Lovers card pops up right before a threesome scene in the ballroom, which is the kind of on the nose symbolism I can get behind. The Tower card though, that one just means you're about to get jump scared by a banshee with excellent breasts. I kept falling for it because the audio cue is almost silent.

Never finished the game actually. Got stuck on a puzzle involving a music box and a locked door and I couldn't be bothered to backtrack through four rooms of horny monsters just to find a missing gear. But I think about that clown sometimes.
