I went back to Spry Flush three times yesterday and I still don't know if the girl actually drinks the champagne or if she's just holding it forever. The game sits in that weird space between a genuine poker trainer and something you'd find buried on a site that still uses Flash emulators. You get dealt cards. You try to make a Royal Flush. There's a blonde woman on the screen who, at certain milestones I think, removes pieces of clothing. The whole thing runs in browser with real model photos, not renders, which honestly gives it this uncanny 2000s CD-ROM energy that I'm weirdly nostalgic for.

The arcade structure means rounds move fast. Like alarmingly fast sometimes. I'd hit a straight flush completely by accident twice before I even understood the discard mechanic properly and the girl was already down to her champagne glass. The text says "Spry Flush" like a pun but also like they just ran out of localization budget halfway through. That jank actually made me like it more. Reminded me of those old Newgrounds poker games where nobody really cared if the cards were mathematically sound, they just wanted someone to take their top off.

I do wish the blonde had more presence beyond the striptease. Give her a name. A personality. She could be anyone. But I guess that's not the point. The point is getting cards right and watching pixels disappear while some bubbly sits there untouched. My one real complaint is that the models, being real photos, don't always line up with the UI smoothly. Sometimes she clips into the card table area. It's not dealbreaking but it pulls you out of the fantasy. And yet I keep going back. Four times now. I just want to see her finish the champagne.
