Fuck me, another visual novel where some sad sack gets a magic turnaround. But The Inn, right, it's got this redhead tavern girl that just... look, the CG hentai scenes are the whole point and they know it. The art is deliberately rough around the edges, like someone sketched it while horny and didn't bother cleaning up the lines. And honestly? That's what makes it work. Too polished and it'd feel like one of those factory made Patreon games that all blur together.
The story is whatever. Guy's dad kicks him out at twenty, life sucks, he meets some mysterious dude who flips everything around. Standard fantasy adventure setup with a tavern as the hub. You click through dialogue, make a choice here and there, and then bam, you're in a scene with the redhead. Her design is the main draw, obviously. The way the artist draws her expressions during the lewd bits, there's this one CG where she's looking back over her shoulder and the whole composition just hits different. I've seen cleaner art in other games but this one has personality. The jank is part of the charm. Though sometimes the text boxes overlap weirdly and I spent like three minutes trying to click a button that was half off screen. Small shit that'll never get fixed because these devs always move on to the next project.
The uplifting transformation they mention in the description, I don't know man, it's mostly just a vehicle to get to the fucking. Which is fine. You're not here for deep character arcs. The tavern setting gives it that cozy fantasy vibe, warm lighting, mugs of ale, and then suddenly explicit closeups. The pacing is weird, some scenes drag with too much setup dialogue and then the payoff is over quick. But when it hits, it hits. The redhead's scenes specifically have this raw quality, the way the lines aren't perfectly clean makes everything feel more immediate. Like catching a glimpse of something you weren't supposed to see. The replay value is basically just clicking through again to see if different choices unlock different CGs. They probably don't. I still did it.
