The sound of waves in this thing. Not the looping kind you get in some browser games where you can hear the seam every twelve seconds. No, this is messy. Sometimes a big one crashes and then there's a weird silence, like the ocean forgot what it was doing. The wind picks up through pixelated palm fronds and it's almost too loud, clipping a bit on my cheap speakers. I spent way too long just standing on the beach listening to it, which is probably not the intended experience for a survival porn game.

But then you walk into the jungle and the audio gets all muffled, which makes sense I guess, but the transition is jarring. No fade. Just bam, you're in a different acoustic space. The footsteps change too, from that wet sand squelch to dry leaves crunching. The crunch is satisfying. Too satisfying maybe. I kept walking back and forth over the same patch of ground like an idiot while one of the other survivors was trying to talk to me. Her dialogue box popped up and I just... kept crunching. The voice acting, if you can call it that, is just these little gasps and moans. No actual words. Which honestly works better than bad voice acting would. The sex scenes have this wet, sloppy quality to the foley work that's almost uncomfortable. Like someone was really going at it with a jar of mayonnaise in a recording booth.

The pixel art is deliberately crude, almost like a lost Game Boy Color game someone found in a flooded basement. The character sprites have these exaggerated proportions that make the erotic scenes feel more absurd than hot sometimes. There's a scene with a girl by the campfire where her breasts just... don't move right. They kind of float independently of her body. It's distracting. But then there's another encounter in the waterfall pool that somehow works perfectly, the way the water droplets sound against skin, the echo of the cave. That one got me. I wish the inventory management wasn't so clunky. You have to drag items one by one and there's this little click sound that repeats and repeats and I started to hate it. The hunger meter beeps. Why does it beep? It's a tropical island, not a microwave.

The whole thing feels unfinished in a way that's almost charming. Almost. The sound design is trying harder than the rest of the game, that's for sure. Like someone on the team really cared about audio and everyone else was just trying to get the titillation mechanics working. The rain sounds are genuinely good though. When a storm rolls in and you're huddled in your shitty little shelter, listening to it hammer on the leaves, that's a moment. Then a crab scuttles past and the foley is so loud it made me jump. Scared the hell out of me. Not erotic at all. But I kind of respected it.
