Boss is in a meeting for another 20 minutes so here I am on my phone pretending to check emails. Wings of Silicon. Right. It's one of those hentai visual novels where you're some graphic designer dude who moved to this tech hub called Silicon Gorge. The name alone made me roll my eyes but whatever, I was bored.

The plot is basically you meet a hot woman and then you meet her aunt who is somehow even hotter. Classic setup. The aunt has these massive tits that the CGs spend an uncomfortable amount of time focusing on. Like there's this one scene where she's leaning over a table explaining something about the city and the angle is just... yeah. I kept clicking forward. The writing tries to be clever about the whole "soap opera" thing but honestly it's just an excuse to have you bounce between the younger woman and her aunt. The dialogue is stilted in that way where you can tell it was written by someone who's never actually heard two humans talk to each other. At one point the aunt says something like "Oh my, you're quite the strapping young designer" and I nearly closed the tab.

The art style is that overly smooth CG look where everyone's skin is too shiny. The aunt character especially looks like she's been oiled up for a photoshoot at all times. There's this one scene in a kitchen that I won't describe in detail but let's just say they really wanted you to appreciate the physics. The younger woman is fine I guess but her character model has this dead-eyed stare that makes every intimate scene feel like she's dissociating. Maybe that's intentional commentary on tech industry burnout? Probably not.

I do like that there's actual choices that matter. I accidentally got the bad ending where everything falls apart and honestly it was kind of funny. The game takes itself so seriously that watching it all crumble felt earned. The music loops are whatever. I muted it after 5 minutes. There's this weird thing where the text sometimes refers to the city as "Silicon Gorge" and other times just "the Gorge" like we're supposed to think it's cool. It's not. Anyway boss is back gotta go.
