Everything in this game feels heavy. The walls, the bodies, the way sound hits your ears. It throws you into this gray, hard prison world that somehow ends up more about heat than punishment. You’re this confused young guy, shoved into a cell before he even understands what he did, and instead of getting long explanations, the game just lets you sit in his skin. Those first scenes, where you hear distant metal doors slam and low voices echo down the corridor, already tell you that this place is not safe, not soft, and absolutely not straight. I really liked how quiet it is at the start, actually. There’s this low ambient hum, some clanking, distant footsteps, and then your cellmate’s breathing, close, too close. It’s not subtle for long. The silence gets broken by little things, like someone laughing in the next cell with that hungry sound guys have when they already undressed you in their head.

The game takes its time to show you the bodies. Muscles everywhere, not in a clean fitness-model way but thick, heavy, like they actually lift shit all day. You see veins on forearms, rough stubble on chins, backs that stretch the prison uniforms so they ride up and show the start of an ass. The camera loves torsos. It moves slow, like a horny gaze that just slides down a man’s chest and stops right above the waistband for a moment longer than it should. The story is simple on surface, “boy in prison full of horny men”, but the choices actually matter in a low-key way. You decide who you give attitude to, who you avoid, who you stare at a bit too long when you walk past the yard. I liked a moment where you have option to stand your ground with a huge guy who blocks the cell door, or play it submissive. If you choose to act tough, the scene flips from threat to this tense, erotic standoff, their chests almost touching, breath mixing, like a fight that wants to become a kiss but ends up in something harder against cold concrete. If you go soft, his voice drops, he calls you “cute” and suddenly you’re his little toy for the night. I kind of wished there was more background on why you are even there, but at same time, not knowing makes the whole thing feel like a dirty fantasy you just fall into, with no real-world logic. It has that “porn plot that grew a bit of a soul by accident” feeling. Sometimes the pacing drags in the talking scenes, sometimes it jumps too fast into dick-in-hand territory, but the mood stays thick all the time. I didn’t even have coffee.

The whole thing plays out as a horny comedy of mistakes, choices, and “ok I probably ruined Earth but at least I came three times.” You pick responses, flirt, piss off the wrong scientist, maybe accidentally talk your way into a threesome instead of an execution. Half the time I was laughing, half the time I was just staring like, how is this so stupid and still kind of hot. One moment you’re trying to convince an alien commander that mating rituals improve combat morale, next moment you’re balls deep in some weird gravity field where every thrust feels heavier and your character is making these panicked “this is so wrong but keep going” faces. The humor actually hits more often than it should; then suddenly they slip in a little bit of emotional mood with an alien girl who got obsessed with human romance dramas and wants to “practice” them with you, complete with horribly misused idioms and a sex scene where she keeps asking if this is how couples “achieve narrative closure.” I loved that bit, and also kinda hated it because my brain was like, “stop laughing, this is supposed to be erotic,” and the game just goes, “nope, laugh while you cum, idiot.”

There is one tiny thing that annoyed me: the way they pretend choices don’t matter, then suddenly one dialogue branch locks you into a whole different set of encounters. I clicked something stupid like “sure, I like tentacles” thinking it’s just flavor text and ten minutes later I’m in a lab with way too many wriggly things and no undo button. Also the UI font looks like it was stolen from some 2009 phone game and never updated. But the good thing is that every route slams you with at least one “oh fuck, I need to screenshot this” moment: like the scene where Earth is visible out the window, they’re talking about destroying it, and you’re stuck in the middle of a blowjob, trying to mumble a heroic speech; or the alien who’s clearly using you as a thesis project and keeps taking notes in the middle of riding you, totally deadpan. The whole game feels like somebody mashed a horny shitpost thread from Reddit with a dating sim and then sprinkled some half-serious “save the world with your dick” energy on top. It shouldn’t work. It kind of doesn’t. But I still kept clicking, just to see what completely wrong idea it would throw at me next.

So the thing about JustAFriend is it's basically a chat simulator that slowly poisons your brain. You're not the guy, you're watching.
