Whoever decided Tifa Lockhart needed a rhythm game about anal deserves a medal and possibly a restraining order. The whole thing runs on this janky click timing system where you're basically trying to match a beat that doesn't exist. No visual cues, no audio sync, just vibes and the increasingly desperate hope that you'll unlock the next scene before your wrist gives out. I spent way too long on the second level because I kept getting distracted by the physics. That ass has its own gravitational pull, I swear.

The animation loops are surprisingly smooth for something that looks like it was coded during a fever dream. When you actually hit the rhythm right, Tifa's reactions escalate in ways that made me forget I was supposed to be taking notes for the convention panel. The sound design though. It's just these wet slapping noises layered over what I think is a royalty free MIDI track that vaguely resembles the FF7 battle theme if you squint with your ears. Sometimes the audio desyncs completely and you're just clicking to silence while Tifa's mouth moves like she's speaking in tongues. Honestly kind of hot in a cursed way.

The level progression unlocks different positions and angles, and there's this one scene where she looks back at you that genuinely made me alt tab like I heard someone at the door. I wasn't even at home. The parody elements are there if you care about that stuff, her outfit is recognizable enough, but let's be real nobody's playing this for the lore accuracy. What I wish they'd fix but know they won't is the way the hitbox for clicking seems to shrink on the harder levels. Could be intentional, could be my mouse dying, could be divine punishment for what I'm doing to a beloved RPG character. Anyway the fourth scene has this angle from below that I need to go investigate further. For panel research purposes.
