I was hunting for animated gifs, you know the type, something with that ridiculous curve where physics just gives up. Stumbled on this game, Forbidden Book Of Pleasures, and honestly the screenshot that nailed me was a summoning scene. The lighting on Hitomi Tanaka's, uh, assets. That's not CGI, that's just her. The game uses actual clips and photos of her, spliced into this grimy fantasy setup about some loser named Takeshi getting a spell book. The plot is whatever, gramps sends a magic tome, now you can summon succubi and corrupt people. The translation reads like someone threw a thesaurus at a wall but it adds to the unpolished charm, like a bootleg DVD menu from decades ago.

The real mechanic that got its hooks in is the corruption loop. You point your magic at a target and the screen blurs into a hardcore scene with these asian models. It's jarring in the best way. One minute it's a flat background of a school hallway, the next you're watching a creampie finish with Hitomi looking straight into the camera. I spent a stupid amount of time just replaying the first summoning, trying to get the exact frame where her brow furrows. The gif collection is getting out of control, my phone's hidden folder is screaming.

The open world part is wonky. Clicking around feels like a flash game having a stroke, paths don't connect right and Takeshi's sprite glides around like he's on butter. But then you stumble on a hidden scene with a demon girl and forget the jank. There's a point where you can corrupt two targets in a row and the transition is so abrupt, zero ceremony, just bam, next position. It made me laugh. Feels like the dev just stitched passion into a mess. Wish there was more with the succubus in her actual supernatural form, the horns stay on in like one scene. More of that creepy erotic vibe instead of just the real life smashes would be a killer DLC. Needs more of that specific Hitomi shot too, the one where she looks unimpressed. You know the one.
