"FaithBound 2": Build Your Faith, Break the Rules
In "FaithBound 2", you take control of the decaying Temple of Aphrodite, an unconventional cult hiding behind the facade of a cathedral by day. Gather funds, grow your following, and invest your "harvest" into upgrading the temple, all while keeping the authorities off your scent. Expand your religion through weddings, baptisms, sermons, and other events that allow you to reach a wider audience. You’ll need to maintain appearances to avoid unwanted attention!
When night falls, the temple only gets more interesting... Participate in wicked ceremonies, summon creatures through dark rituals, or initiate new nuns into your faith. Only these activities will generate the profit needed to pull a forgotten religion out of ruin.
Once you’ve collected your (perfectly legal) hard-earned money, you can invest it in numerous temple renovations. As you progress, you’ll unlock new possibilities, such as tending to your own garden or sending missionaries to do the dirty work.​

This is one of those games that feels like it was written by someone who just discovered hentai logic and said yes to everything. Angelina, or Angel, which is a name that makes me think of lingerie lines that try too hard. She's a redhead waitress in a bar that smells like regret, and the whole world has decided women are collectibles. The setup is so aggressively grim it loops back around to being funny. Like a lace bodysuit with cutouts where no cutouts should be.

The minigames at the bar are basically groping simulators with a time limit. You're pouring drinks while some guy's hand is on a journey across your thigh and you have to decide if you slap him or let it slide for a bigger tip. The choices aren't deep. They're the kind of binary you'd doodle on a napkin. But there's something almost hypnotic about how bluntly it presents the corruption. College, the train, your own apartment. Everywhere is just another stage for a very specific fantasy that refuses to apologize. I found myself clicking through dialogue about blackmail while thinking about how the color palette is actually kind of nice. Muted browns and that one shade of red hair that pops like a warning sign.

The sandbox element means you can just wander into bad decisions. I accidentally triggered a scene in the landlord's office that made me laugh out loud because of how suddenly it escalated. One minute you're discussing rent, the next you're picking dialogue options that read like they were translated through three languages and a hangover. The game doesn't try to hide what it is. A dress with no back and no front. Just straps and audacity. You keep playing not because it's good, but because it's so committed to being exactly what it promised.

Ok so I'm clicking on this girl. Cherry Bubblebelle Delphinium. What a name, right? Like someone threw anime and candy into a blender. She's this fusion of Princess Bubblegum and Sakura from Naruto, which is a combo I didn't know I needed until my brain started doing backflips. The whole thing runs in browser, no downloads or whatever, which is good because my laptop is already crying from all the... research files.

The first thing you notice is how unpolished it is. Deliberately so, I guess? The 3d model is... there. She's got pink hair and a vacant stare that somehow makes the whole thing hotter in a weird, janky way. You just click on her. That's it. Click her shoulder, she kinda twitches. Click her chest, and there's this awkward boob physics moment that feels like watching a mannequin come to life but only halfway. I laughed. Then I clicked again. I don't know what that says about me. The lack of any real game mechanics, no dialogue trees or stat tracking, just pure tactile poking, is almost meditative? No, that's a stupid word for it. It's more like poking a weird science experiment with a stick.

There's this moment where if you click her skirt enough times, the fabric sort of glitches and you get a panty shot that feels like you broke the game. And that's the reward. The whole "dating sim" tag is a lie, there's no romance here, just you and your mouse cursor and this silent, blinking anime princess who exists only to be touched. The crossover aspect is completely unhinged. Why does Sakura's forehead protector look like it's made of gum? The cozy tag is also a joke, nothing cozy about the dead silence except your own breathing. But I kept going back to it while scrolling Twitter on my phone. It's like a fidget spinner for degenerates. Award for Best Use of a Single Animation Loop, I guess. The bubblegum pink color palette is honestly kind of nice though. Wait, I said it was unpolished. It is. But the color is nice. Forget what I was talking about.

so i loaded up living with belle last night, right, and the first thing that hits me is how weirdly specific the whole roommate setup is. like, you're just some guy and belle is there and then other girls start showing up. the dialogue trees are pretty basic but honestly that's not why anyone's here. there's this one scene where you can just keep poking at her while she's trying to watch tv and the way she reacts changes like four times before she finally snaps. that kind of stuff is more fun than the actual sex scenes sometimes.

the art is... fine. not gonna pretend it's groundbreaking. some of the poses look a little stiff, especially when the clothes come off. but the writing has this dumb charm to it. belle calls you a pervert in like six different ways and one of them actually made me laugh out loud. i don't remember which one. the sound design is basically nonexistent which is weird because there's a whole music toggle in the settings and it does nothing. i clicked it like ten times. nothing. maybe my browser is broken.

oh and there's a minigame where you have to sneak glances at her changing without getting caught. it's stupid easy but the fail state is funny because she just stares at you deadpan and says "really?" and you lose affection points or whatever. i failed on purpose a few times just to see how low it goes. she doesn't kick you out which is honestly unrealistic. if my roommate caught me doing that i'd be dead. anyway the other girls are fine, one of them has a weird accent that comes and goes. the whole thing feels like a fever dream you'd have after watching too much anime and eating gas station sushi. not that i've done that. recently.
