got suckered into another early access pixel mess last night. The Price of Eden throws you on some tropical island after a shipwreck, no big surprise there. what got me was the survival stuff actually matters. you need water, food, shelter, and the game does not hold your hand about it. died twice before figuring out coconuts are not the miracle food movies pretend they are.

the pixel art is rough, like someone stopped caring halfway through the sprites. beach looks okay, jungle is a blurry green nightmare. but then the character portraits hit different. the other survivors have these detailed expressions that make the lewd scenes land harder than they should. and oh boy those scenes. got the redhead to trust me after sharing fish for three days and the payoff was filthy in the best way. missionary on a bamboo bed, her pixel body arching while the dialogue describes every wet detail. there is a girl with tribal tattoos who straight up offers herself if you bring her rare shells. the game does not pretend to be deep. it knows what you are here for.

building relationships feels like grinding gacha pulls though. each character wants specific gifts and if you miss their schedule they get annoyed. wish the inventory did not fill up with junk so fast. spent twenty minutes trying to drop a rotten fruit while a storm hit and my shelter broke. the wilderness tag is no joke. wild boars wrecked me more times than I want to admit. there is something addictive about managing all these meters while trying to see what depraved scene unlocks next. the island having a life of its own is mentioned in the description but I have not seen anything supernatural yet, just regular deadly nature. maybe later patches add the weird stuff. for now it is survival with occasional horny rewards and honestly that is enough.
