I don't know what I expected from a game that calls itself ChariKiss like it's some kind of charity event for desperate lesbians. The 3D models have that distinct look, you know the one, where everyone's skin is slightly too shiny like they've been basted. Our heroine is apparently so thirsty she needs a hydration IV drip, and honestly, same, but the way the game handles this is... a choice.

The groping mechanics. Let me just. They're there. You click and things happen and sometimes the camera angles make it look like two mannequins having a disagreement in a furniture store. But here's the thing I can't stop thinking about the way one of the girls adjusts her glasses before leaning in and my brain just short-circuited. I've played actual polished dating sims on Steam that didn't make me feel anything and this janky browser thing has me actually paying attention to dialogue choices like they matter. The school setting is whatever, generic hallways and classrooms, but there's this one scene behind the gym where I genuinely forgot I was looking at 3DCG that probably took someone three hours to render on a laptop that sounds like a jet engine.

The lesbian content isn't performative or made for someone else's viewing pleasure, which is rare enough that I noticed. It's just girls being into girls in that messy, awkward way where you say something stupid and then want to die about it for three days. The dating sim elements are barebones but functional, choices actually branch somewhere instead of the illusion of choice you get in bigger titles. I keep coming back to it even though the UI looks like a programmer's first Unity project and the music loops every forty seconds. Something about watching our disaster of a protagonist fumble her way through college romance while I enable her worst decisions. The kissing scenes have this weird thing where the lip sync is off by like half a second but somehow that makes it more endearing? I don't know. I've abandoned actual thoughts mid-sentence trying to figure out why this works on me. The groping stuff is whatever, fine, functional, but the moments between the physical stuff where characters actually talk to each other like real humans with bad social skills, that's the part that got its hooks in.
