Right off the bat the main menu looks like someone's first Ren'Py project and honestly, that's the whole vibe. Dark Fate Chronicles is a terminator parody where you're John O'Connor, resistance leader, and the machines are sending killer robots back in time. Standard stuff. But the CG hentai scenes, oh boy. The first encounter with a female terminator in a ruined factory had her liquid metal tits doing things that'd make Skynet blush. The artist clearly spent 90% of the budget on rendering those glossy, impossibly round assets and the remaining 10% on backgrounds that look like they were sketched on a napkin during a lunch break.

The writing is this weird mix of taking itself way too seriously and then suddenly a sex scene starts and it's like a different person took over the keyboard. One minute you're brooding about humanity's last stand, the next you're balls deep in a reprogrammed assassin droid who's moaning about your "biological components." I wish the choices mattered more but they don't, it's basically a kinetic novel with the illusion of branching paths. There's this one scene where you can choose to trust a captured machine or not and either way you end up in the same bunker with the same outcome. Classic.

The sound design is nonexistent. Literally. I thought my headphones broke. But somehow the silence makes the wet, squelching sound effects during the lewd parts stand out more, which is either genius or just lazy. Probably lazy. The whole thing runs in browser and I had it going on my second monitor while pretending to work, alt-tabbing whenever someone walked by. For a quick fap to some scifi smut, it does the job. The terminator girls have that uncanny valley look but in a way that kinda works for the whole robot theme, you know?
