What really sells it is the combination of 3DCG Koikatsu style and voice acting. The combat and adventure parts are there mostly to justify why you keep jumping into new worlds full of excuses for sex, but sometimes they actually land a cool line or magic effect and you forget for a second this is mainly about watching your waifu get fucked in every possible way, with or without you.
