The fishing minigame in Kindvixens is broken. Not like, fun broken where you exploit it for infinite money. Just... the timing window feels off by a few frames, and I spent twenty minutes cursing at a pixelated trout before realizing I could just buy fish from the market anyway. That's this whole game, really. A sandbox harem thing set in Seabreeze, some cozy little town with a mystery that honestly I forgot about three hours in because the baker's wife has these absolutely massive tits and a questline about her failing marriage.

Twelve ladies, they say. I counted maybe nine I actually cared about, but the ones that work, work. The milf next door keeps "accidentally" flashing you while gardening, and there's this whole teasing dynamic with the librarian that goes on for way too long before she finally lets you bend her over the returns cart. The RPG elements are paper thin, your stats barely matter except for unlocking certain scenes, but the dialogue choices actually branch in ways that surprised me. Told the shy farm girl I preferred her sister and she didn't talk to me for a week of in-game time. Respect for that.

The survival mechanics are a joke. You need to eat and sleep occasionally, which just means clicking on your house between chasing skirts. The big ass on the yoga instructor though, that's rendered with genuine care. Some of the 2DCG art looks rushed, backgrounds especially, but the character sprites during intimate moments have this hand-drawn warmth that the rest of the game lacks. There's a scene with the mayor's assistant in the hot springs that made me forget all about the clunky UI and the fact that the fast travel map sometimes just doesn't work. Romance paths lock you out of others, which I didn't realize until I'd already committed to the harem route and pissed off the redhead with the piercings. She keyed my car. In a video game. That's the kind of petty detail I live for, even if the actual sex scenes take forever to unlock and the minigames are mostly filler.
