I love how A House in the Rift tried to be a clever inspection sim and ended up feeling like an airport security checkpoint if the TSA agents were impossibly horny and all the passengers were suspiciously stacked monster girls. The whole setup is you're this guy who has to screen visitors, find out who's secretly a paranormal creature, and the screening methods involve, uh, very hands-on techniques. The mind control angle gets weird fast. You can nudge their thoughts, make them more compliant, and it's that classic sandbox loop of poke around, find a new interaction, unlock another scene. The female domination stuff is inconsistent. Sometimes you're the boss with the mind control, sometimes you're practically begging, and the game never really commits to either.

The harem building is tedious because trust meters fill at a glacial pace and there's no skip for repeat scenes you've seen six times already. The big ass tag is accurate, I'll give them that. Almost absurdly so. It's a game that knows exactly what it is, a paranormal groping simulator with a thin plot excuse, and honestly that's refreshing even if it's not exactly polished.
