The sound design in this thing. It's like someone found a broken Famitracker cartridge, kicked it across a parking lot, and recorded the result. I'm serious. The "music" loops after maybe 12 seconds and it's just this single square wave arpeggio that doesn't even resolve properly. It gets stuck in your head like a splinter. I caught myself humming it while making coffee and felt genuine shame.
So Nami's adrift, right? Sunny's at the bottom of the ocean, Big Mom Pirates did their thing, whatever. You're some new captain who fishes her out. The 3d models are... a choice. Her proportions are completely unhinged, even by One Piece standards. Her chest has its own gravitational field. When she moves, the physics engine just gives up and lets things clip through her own torso. There's this one scene in the captain's quarters where she's leaning over a map table and her back arches in a way that would snap a real spine. I stared at it for a solid minute. The clipping. Not the ass. Well, both.
The vouyer stuff is weirdly passive. You're just... there. Watching. Sometimes through a slightly smeared porthole texture that looks like it was rendered on a PS2 dev kit. The male protagonist doesn't have a face, obviously. Just this smooth polygon head that occasionally nods. It's unsettling. Makes you feel like a ghost haunting a very horny boat. The dialogue choices are nonsense. "Comfort her" versus "Stare intently" and both lead to the same animation of her stretching and sighing. I wish the camera controls weren't so janky. You can clip through walls and see the ocean inside the ship's hull. That's not a feature, it's just broken. But honestly? The brokenness is the vibe. The whole thing feels like a corrupted save file of a better game and I can't look away. That 12-second loop is playing in my head again. Send help.
