You know what gets me about these Harry Potter parody games? They always promise the whole "redo your life" thing but then it's just Hermione with bigger tits and maybe a tentacle in the prefect's bathroom. This one though. This one actually made me feel weirdly nostalgic for the books I read as a kid, right before a scene where an elf girl does things with her mouth that would make Madam Pince faint.

The setup is you survived the battle, everyone's dead, and some magical nonsense sends you back. Standard stuff. But the writing has this strange melancholy to it that I wasn't expecting from a game where you can eventually have sex with a forest spirit. The Hermione character, she's not just there to be a reward. There's this moment in the library where she's talking about loss and I actually forgot I was playing something I found on an adult site. Then two scenes later she's stripping and I remembered. The tonal whiplash is real but somehow it works? Like the game doesn't know if it wants to be a romance novel or pure fantasy fulfillment and honestly neither do I.

The monster stuff. Look, I'm a vanilla guy at heart. Give me a good vaginal sex scene with someone who actually likes the protagonist and I'm happy. But the tentacle content here is... there's a scene with a creature in the forbidden forest that I clicked through out of morbid curiosity and ended up not hating. The art style is 2D, kind of rough around the edges, which somehow makes the weirder content less jarring than if it was all realistic 3D models. The handjob scene with the elf character though, that was genuinely tender. She's got these long fingers and the way the dialogue is written made me feel like I was intruding on something private.

The school setting is underused. You get the common rooms and the library but where's the kitchen? The astronomy tower? I wanted more sneaking around at night vibes and instead it's mostly just finding characters in their rooms. Small complaint. The stripping mechanics are whatever, click and clothes come off, you've seen it before. But there's this one moment where Hermione is taking off her robe and the game describes the sound of the fabric and I don't know why that stuck with me. Maybe because the rest of the game is so unpolished that when it tries, it really lands.
