The whole thing runs on a weird voyeuristic framing device, some unseen commentator chiming in while you play host at this isolated hotel. I keep thinking about the ethics of it. Is Sara, the first guest, actually consenting to being watched or is she just another piece in a game the hotel is playing? The game never asks, but I couldn't stop asking. Her introduction during the storm is pretty standard VN stuff, you're being nice, getting her settled, but then the intimacy system kicks in and suddenly you're gauging how far to push.
The oral sex scene with Sara, man. The 3dcg models are deliberately a bit off, the skin textures too smooth, the big tits defying physics in a way that feels less like a choice and more like a limitation. But the animation during the handjob part has this one frame where her fingers curl just so, and I stared at it for way too long. It's not polished. It's not trying to be. The footjob option comes out of nowhere, and I clicked it because why not, and the game just sort of shrugs and moves on. That's the whole experience really, a series of sexual encounters with exhibitionism baked into the premise, but the host character has zero personality. You're a blank slate with a dick.
Missy shows up later and the romance tag makes more sense there, but it's still this strange push and pull where the game wants you to be both a predator and a sweetheart. The sex toys appear in one scene and then are never mentioned again, which feels like a missed opportunity. If they ever make a DLC, lean into the hotel's weirdness more. Let the player set up scenarios, choose which rooms to use, make the voyeur actually matter to the plot instead of just being a narrative excuse. Right now it's a series of fap sequences with a thin coat of mystery paint, and the mystery doesn't go anywhere in these first two episodes. The vaginal sex scene has good rhythm though, I'll give it that. The audio cues for the storm outside are a nice touch, makes the whole thing feel claustrophobic in a way that heightens the teasing. But then the host just... I don't know. I wanted him to have a breakdown or something. Instead he just keeps hosting. Maybe that's the point. Maybe I'm overthinking a game where you can get a footjob during a thunderstorm while some entity watches.
