Ashley’s tattoo is what I keep thinking about. Not the big plot stuff, just that little ink on her hip, the way it stretches when she bends over in the laundry room scene. The game’s 3DCG is weird, you know? Sometimes the lighting hits and she looks almost real, other times her face goes all mannequin stiff, especially during the dialogue bits. But that one moment, the camera just lingers on her lower back while she’s pretending to look for something in the dryer, and the whole “lost” metaphor from the title finally clicked. Not lost emotionally. Lost in her own house, bending over, knowing exactly what she’s doing.

The male protag is a total blank slate, which I guess is the point for these things. You’re just a pair of eyes and a dick, wandering from room to room. The mom, the sister, the neighbor, all these big tit blonde and brunette archetypes orbiting you. I spent way too long trying to trigger the pool scene with the sister. The walkthrough on F95zone said it was tied to a specific dialogue choice three conversations back, and I had to reload like an idiot. The payoff is fine, I guess. The physics on her chest are ridiculous, like water balloons filled with jello, but the sound design is so flat. Just these wet slapping noises that sound like someone stepping in mud. Completely took me out of it.

The incest tag is there, obviously, it’s the whole engine of the thing. But the game treats it with this bizarre casualness, like everyone’s just agreed this is how Tuesday works. There’s a scene at the dinner table where the mom’s foot finds you under the table, and the way her 3D model’s eyes just stare blankly ahead while her foot moves is unintentionally hilarious. It’s supposed to be this tense, taboo moment, but she looks like a broken animatronic at a pizza place. Still, I kept clicking. The big ass tag is not lying, by the way. The character designer had a clear priority and stuck to it. I just wish the game itself had a bit more of that commitment, instead of feeling like a slideshow of really horny mannequins with occasional, baffling dialogue trees. That tattoo though. It’s the only thing that felt like a real choice someone made.
