World of Corruption is what happens when someone takes the whole mind control fetish and actually remembers to write a story around it instead of just stringing together wank material. You know those games where you click a button and suddenly everyone's drooling over your dick? This isn't that. Well, it is, but it makes you work for it and feel kinda weird about it afterwards, which is honestly the whole point.
The protagonist gets this ability to influence people after some mysterious event, and the game does this clever thing where it never quite tells you if you're the bad guy or just some horny idiot who found a loaded gun. The corruption spreads slowly, and I mean that in the best way. One minute you're just testing the waters with a suggestive comment, next thing you know you've got a married woman on her knees while her husband's in the other room. The animated scenes are surprisingly smooth for a browser game, and the handjob sequences have this attention to detail that makes me wonder about the artist's search history. The parody elements are there if you squint, mostly in how it riffs on those old adventure games where you'd click on everything hoping for a sex scene. But here the choices actually branch in ways that matter, and characters remember what you did, which is terrifying when you think about it.
The fantasy elements are more psychological than magical, which I appreciate. No fireballs or elves, just the slow realization that power corrupts and absolute power makes for really good oral sex animations. The male protagonist is refreshingly not a complete blank slate, though he's still generic enough to project onto. I do wish the corruption paths were a bit more varied, sometimes it feels like you're just picking which flavor of domination you want, but then again that's kind of the genre. The 2DCG art style works better than it has any right to, especially during the more intense scenes where the expressions actually change based on context. My only real complaint is that some dialogue choices feel like they were written by someone who's never actually flirted with a human being, but then again neither have I, so maybe it's accurate.
