The inventory screen is a mess. I spent maybe twenty minutes just dragging a weird glowing dildo back and forth across the grid, trying to make it fit next to three health potions and what I think is a jar of space lube. The tutorial popup kept flashing "ROTATE ITEM" but the button was hidden behind the character portrait. Kouia just stood there in her half torn suit, blinking slowly, like she was judging my organizational skills. Classic turn based strategy problem, right? Not the tactics, the fucking UI.

Battles start when you warp into a random sector and some tentacle beast or horny space pirate decides today's the day. The combat is this strange mix of rock paper scissors and, uh, penetration. You pick a stance, they pick a stance, and if you win the round, Kouia gets railed in a new position. Lose, and she gets railed anyway but takes damage. It's hard sex as a damage type. There's a shop on the hub station that sells "battle stims" which are basically just different flavored aphrodisiacs. I bought one called "Nebula Nectar" and the description just said "makes losing feel better." Didn't change the animations though, which was a letdown. Same three looped scenes per enemy type. The space pirate captain has this one move where he just keeps slapping her ass while a critical hit sound plays over and over. Ding. Slap. Ding. Slap. I muted it after the fourth fight.

Exploration is where the game actually gets weirdly compelling. You fly this clunky ship between planets and sometimes you just find a distress beacon. One time I answered and it was a sentient cloud that wanted to have a philosophical debate about orgasms before dissolving into a puddle on the cockpit floor. No fight, no reward, just a puddle. Kouia mopped it up with a rag from the inventory. I still have the rag. It's taking up a slot next to the dildo. I can't sell it. The shopkeeper on Rigel VII only buys weapons and "fluids" and apparently philosophical cloud residue doesn't count. Wish the game let me just toss junk into space but the discard button is greyed out. Forever. That rag is my curse now.

The combat in Legend of Lust has this weird rhythm where you're clicking through turn based attacks and then suddenly there's a full on succubus riding scene with animation that actually loops smooth. I spent way too long just replaying the Hottie encounter because the multi scene thing they added, it's got these little variations depending on what you do in battle first. Or maybe it doesn't. I couldn't tell if I was imagining the differences or if the game actually tracks that stuff. The resolution thing bugs me though, 896x630 feels cramped on my monitor and I kept squinting at the text boxes like I was reading a terms of service agreement on my phone.

The demoness Hottie shows up and honestly her design is ridiculous in the best way. Those tits are just, they're physics defying in a way that makes you laugh and then immediately want to see what happens next. The game knows what it is. A lust demon from the second circle of hell running around doing turn based strategy stuff while collecting, I don't know, sexual conquests? The writing has this broken english charm where sometimes a dialogue line hits perfectly filthy and other times you're reading it three times trying to parse what the succubus is actually saying about the hidden secret plot thing they teased.

Wish the inventory system made more sense. I kept clicking on items expecting a description and nothing happened. Just silence. Like the game was judging me for wanting to read flavor text on a health potion. The Patron content being locked is whatever, you can still get through the main bits without it but you'll notice the gaps where something extra was clearly supposed to happen. The combat animations for the violent parts are surprisingly crunchy though, there's this one attack where Lust just demolishes an enemy and the sound effect is way more satisfying than it has any right to be in a porn game. I reloaded that fight twice just to see it again. The website has bigger resolution versions apparently but I couldn't be bothered to switch browsers mid session. Maybe next update they'll fix the window size thing but they probably won't since it's designed at 1280x900 and this is just the scaled down itch.io version. Whatever. The Hottie scenes are worth the download alone if you're into succubus content that doesn't take itself too seriously.
