I have been going through this list of Raphtalia Hentai Games for a while now and honestly it is a mixed bag. You find some really good flash style animations and then next to it is a text adventure that makes no sense. I found one where the raccoon ears actually twitched when you touched them and I spent way too long just poking the ears because it was cute. It is the little details that matter you know? But then the rest of the game was super boring and repetitive. You just clicked "Talk" and "Gift" over and over again. Why do devs think we want to simulate boring conversations? Just get to the action. I guess they want to build tension or whatever. Tension is boring when I have limited time. I played another one where Naofumi was not even in it, just some faceless guy, which felt wrong. The whole point is the dynamic between them right? If it is just some random guy it feels like cheating. But maybe I am thinking too hard about pixels on a screen.

Sometimes the translation is so bad it is funny. In one game she said "Please master, give me the food of love" and I laughed so hard I almost closed the tab. Who writes this stuff? It sounds like a robot wrote it. But the Raphtalia Hentai Games category is huge so you just ignore the bad ones and find the good ones. I wish there was a way to filter out the ones that are just slide shows though. A slide show is not a game. It is just a gallery where I have to click next. I can do that on an image board. I want interaction. I want to choose positions or outfits. There was this one dress up game that was surprisingly detailed, like you could change her armor pieces one by one. I spent twenty minutes trying to match the colors of her boots to her gloves. Why did I do that? I don't know. It was satisfying in a weird way. Then I realized I forgot to actually play the rest of the content because I was too busy playing fashion designer. That happens a lot to me.

The ads on the side are annoying though. They flash too much. I try to focus on the game and there is a blinking banner saying I won an iPhone. I obviously did not win an iPhone. I wish the UI in the games was cleaner too. Sometimes the text box covers the important parts of the image and you can't hide it. Like, move the text box up! I am trying to see. And the save systems are usually broken. You think you saved your progress but you come back the next day and it is gone. Poof. Back to the start. It makes me not want to start long RPG maker games because I know I will lose my progress. But I keep coming back because the character design is just too good. Even in low resolution pixel art she looks great. There was a pixel one that was fully animated and it was probably the best one on the site but it was super short. Like two minutes long. Why do the good ones always end so fast? It is unfair. I would pay money for a longer version of that one pixel game if I could but these are all just free fan projects. So I guess I cannot complain too much. But I am complaining anyway.
