So the thing about Argleton is it’s a total mess but in that way where you keep clicking. I should be doing spreadsheets right now. Instead I’m watching Chun Li get absolutely railed by some guy who looks like he walked out of a bootleg X-Men comic. The game is this weird sandbox dating sim thing, point and click, you know the deal. You show up in this city disconnected from reality and immediately start collecting girls like pokemon. Kitana is there. Some MILF who runs a shop. A virgin who definitely won’t stay that way. It’s got everything and also nothing makes sense.

The art is 3DCG and honestly sometimes it looks like someone’s first Blender project and other times, specifically during the sex scenes, I’m like okay I get it. The animations are janky but the ahegao faces they slap on these characters are genuinely unhinged. There’s this one scene with a footjob that made me question my life choices, not because it was hot but because the toes clipped through the floor and I laughed so hard I had to mute my mic. The game doesn’t care. It just throws you into the next thing. Group sex, cosplay, some weird drug trip sequence, female domination, male domination, it’s like the dev had a checklist of every tag on the site and just said yes.

What I actually got stuck on, and I mean I spent way too much time here, was the transformation stuff. There’s a point where a character changes outfits or maybe her whole body, I don’t know, the game’s logic is held together with tape, and suddenly it’s a completely different vibe. I forgot what I was doing. I think I was supposed to be romancing someone but I ended up in a lesbian scene with two characters I hadn’t seen before. The humor is accidental half the time but that’s why I keep it open in a tiny browser window. It’s not polished. It will never be polished. The spanking sounds are like someone slapping a wet towel. I wish the point and click parts weren’t so obtuse sometimes, you just click everything until something happens, but then Naruto is there for some reason and I stop caring. The harem ending is stupid. I’m still going for it.
