Kazuma being a total scumbag is pretty normal, but here the game just lets you lean into it and then cranks the horny up every time you think it’s done. It’s a Ren’Py visual novel with JRPG bits glued on, but not in a boring way where you just click through walls of text and then grind slimes. One moment you’re bullying Aqua because she’s a useless “goddess” who cries over every little thing, the next you’re staring at an H-scene animation where she’s on her knees, mascara running, begging you for “mercy” while the dialogue keeps making fun of her. The writing feels like a fan who loves Konosuba but also loves to humiliate the girls a bit too much. Not subtle at all, and that’s kind of the charm. I laughed at some lines and then two lines later I was rock hard, which is awkward when you’re trying to read everything carefully like a good student. Porn and jokes fighting for your brain at the same time.

The nice part is that it’s actually story heavy for a hentai parody. There are quests, dungeon crawls, stats to raise, days to plan, that kind of thing, so you’re not just skipping to the CG gallery. One day you decide “ok, I go grind some mobs,” then the game throws in a little event with Megumin complaining about money and next thing you know you’re in some ridiculous scene where she blows all her energy on Explosion and you have to drag her back, which later turns into a reward scene that is way too horny for how stupid the setup was. Megumin fans will be happy, there are multiple paths where she slowly goes from tsun to needy and the H-animations sell it, her body twitching when she tries to keep her cool. Darkness is another thing entirely. She’s such a masochist here that even when the scene is romantic she’s still whining that you’re “too gentle” and begging for harsher treatment. Some people will find her dialogue annoying, some will find it perfect, but the game never tones her down. It’s committed to the bit. Yunyun appears and somehow manages to be both adorable and thirsty, which is on brand even if a couple of jokes miss the landing. Also, small rant, the fishing minigame made me more angry than any boss fight and I don’t even know why. I kept doing it anyway because I wanted cash for gear and then realized I had spent half a session not actually fucking anyone. That’s how it goes here: you come for porn, you stay because suddenly you want better loot and different choices just to see Aqua cry in new ways. I still don’t know if that makes me proud or worried about myself.
